Introduction
If you see two charges for the same Epic purchase, the first step is to check whether one of them is a temporary authorization hold and the other is the final posted charge. In many cases, the pending hold will drop off automatically after your bank finishes processing it.
Check the charge status
Review both transactions in your bank or card statement and look for the following:
- A pending or authorization hold that has not fully posted
- One completed transaction and one pending transaction for the same amount
- Two completed transactions for the same Epic purchase
What to expect
If one charge is only a temporary authorization hold, it should usually drop off automatically once your bank finishes processing the payment. Timing can vary by bank or card issuer.
When to contact Epic Support
If both charges post as completed transactions, contact Epic Support so we can review the purchase and help resolve the duplicate charge.
